We at Wings of Hope have been very mindful of the effect of Covid lockdowns and how it affects our WOHAA students.  With the help of our mature students at London Business School, we have conducted essential workshops not only on wellness and wellbeing to help them with their physical and mental health, but also workshops to give them further insight into their future career plans.

WORKSHOP ON CHOOSING TECH AS A CAREER

London Business School's current mature MBA students conducted a very interesting and useful workshop on choosing Tech as a career. Two of their students from entirely different backgrounds in terms of their subject choices at school and university, spoke of the great opportunities that are available to students especially Girls in this sector.  Over zoom, with many participants from different schools and different age groups, this workshop was a huge success.

WORKSHOP ON CV WRITING AND INTERVIEW TECHNIQUE SKILLS

Once again with a current MBA student from London Business School, along with her friend shared many useful tips and examples of how CV's are written and how they need to present themselves at the all important Interviews!  A hugely popular workshop with our students, who were thinking and planning ahead for their futures.   Again over zoom, and with many questions asked, this workshop was a hit with all the participants.

WORKSHOP ON WELLNESS AND A POSITVE MINDSET IN PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Delivered by an external speaker, this workshop very nicely covered areas in physical, emotional and mental wellness.  With the help of great stories at the time of World Wars and during peacetime too, the speaker very beautifully covered areas of positivity and how it would help them achieve their goals and complete their WOHAA projects and win awards too!

MENTORING SESSIONS ON WOHAA

All teams participating in WOHAA have had mentoring sessions from the members of Wings of Hope team or from London Business School current students.   With special emphasis given to the skills they will learn and develop during this time, we are noticing our students showing an increase in effective communication, team work, leadership, creativity, finance and the all important time management as a team!

We are working very hard to ensure that no student is let down during this period and providing help whenever required, thereby ensuring that they remain positive during these very challenging times.
