Mckenzi Martin

We are A Piece of Mind, a group of 3 year 12 students who are participating in the Wings of Hope Achievement Award. We are each from different schools which brings the group different fundraising opportunities. Our group is unlike any other, we are enthusiastic, passionate, wild and caring, all mixed together. WOHAA is a social enterprise programme in which students all around the UK develop transferable skills through hosting amazing fundraising projects and events. All of the money that we fundraise helps provide free education for children in India and Malawi.

We chose to do WOHAA because because we thought that it would be an amazing opportunity to not only develop essential life skills but to to also give underprivileged children many opportunities and it will open many doors which can give them a better chance at life.

We would love if you could help us give these children great opportunities by donating to our cause. Over the next few months we will be running some exciting events, some include indulgent bake sales and potentially intriguing talent shows. All of the money will be counted up and put towards our target of £500, now this may seem like a lot however there will be many fundraising events in which would help us get to our final goal. A Piece of Mind could be selected to go through to the WOHAA Semi Finals which are held at the Houses Of Parliament, here there are opportunities to win work experience placements or even an amazing trip to India where we can personally go and visit the children that we helped fundraise for. The most amazing thing yet is that £250 worth of sponsorship can provide the education for a child in India for a whole year and £150 worth of sponsorship can provide the education for a child in Malawi for a whole year! Which means that it is less than 70p and 50p a day, so please help us with this amazing opportunity, and remember "we cant help everyone...but... everyone can help someone" - Dr. Loretta Scott

Thank you so much,
Team A Piece of Mind
