We are 6 students from Drayton Manor Highschool who are participating in the Wings of Hope Achievement Award. This is a programme where UK students develop key transferable skills through organising fundraising projects and events in order to help provide free education for children in India and Malawi.
We chose to take part in WOHAA because we recognise we are extremely privileged to be able to get a free education of a high standard. We would like to be able to help provide the same opportunities we have for those less fortunate then ourselves. WOHAA is a great avenue for us to do this as, not only does the money actually impact children in need of an education by building and maintaining schools in underprivelaged areas, but it also puts us in contact with people who are at the forefront of building these institutions and gives us a chance to visit/ help out at one ourselves if we win!
We would really appreciate any donations to the cause.
£250 sponsors the education of a child in India for a year, and £150 sponsors the education of a child in Malawi, which is less than 70p and 50p a day respectively, so please give generously if you can, every little helps!
Thank you so much,
Team R.A.W.R
