The Wings of Hope Achievement Award (WOHAA ) is FREE social enterprise scheme for students in years 9-13.
With over 10,000 participants, our nationally recognised competition sees students organise activities and projects whilst developing transferable skills such as time management, team work and leadership.
BOOK – Teachers can book our Wings of Hope team to visit their school assembly, class or careers fair in September so we can tell their students all about the wonders of WOHAA.
REGISTER – Students then register online and get fundraising!
FUNDRAISING – We strongly encourage innovation and creativity whilst having FUN! We provide lots of info on how to speak to your local newspapers and contact your local business, as well as offering health and safety tips and fundraising ideas. We are always just a phone call away if anyone has any queries. Meanwhile, students can attend skills workshops provided by our corporate partners.
PRESENTATIONS – Teams are shortlisted to present at the House of Lords to a great panel of judges.
AWARDS – The winning teams are then announced at a big celebration at Wembley Stadium. There are 6 award categories: the most innovative, most awareness raised, most funds raised, the best presentation, the best SPEAK Out, and finally the overall best team/individual for a demonstration of enterprise and sheer determination.
PRIZES – The overall winners receive an all expenses paid trip to India, to teach in the school we support. This is what make our scheme so unique, in that students can follow the project from conception through to completion and see exactly where the money is going!
The winners for each category are offered invaluable work experience/internships with top UK employers, such as Saatchi & Saatchi, Tata Consultancy Services and ARUP!
