Design a Brick!

Get creative and design your own ‘brick’ for the Wings of Hope School. Can be used to build a colourful classroom display, as part of your fundraising activities or as a hands-on method of raising awareness about the ‘Get School Started’ campaign in your class.

‘Get School Started’ Events Posters

Get your class involved in designing Get School Started and Wings of Hope posters using this poster template. You could even use the best ones (or all of them!) to advertise your fundraising events!

Creative Letter Writing

This activity encourages your class to practice their letter writing skills with two variations to suit differing ability/age levels. Either write a letter to Ram, an eight year old boy living in India about to enrol in an English school, or imagine you are a child living and going to school in India writing about your experiences of school and life in India.
(Elements of KS2 Eng, Writing, Citizenship 5)

Group Fundraising Presentation

This activity challenges your class in teams to show real creativity, ingenuity and spark and come up with some fantastic fundraising ideas. Get each team to pick their best idea, plan it out using the planning sheet, and present it to the rest of the class. Which team will have the best idea?
(Elements of KS2 Eng speaking, listening and group discussion)

Find Out More! Designing a Wings of Hope Leaflet

An ICT based activity encouraging your class to use their web-based research skills on the Wings of Hope website and the planning worksheet to produce a funky, fresh and creative new leaflet on the Wings of Hope.
