ARUP

WOHAA winner on work experience at Arup: “My time at Arup was one definitely to remember. It as not like normal work experience. A different approach was taken to allow us to understand what life was like at Arup. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and have learnt many new skills that I previously did not know. I was working alongside a team of 15 students of a similar age and we all bonded well together! It is a type of work experience that I have no hesitation in recommending to students interested in engineering based careers.”

WOHAA winner on work experience at Arup: “I was shocked that I was given such a rare opportunity to work with Arup. I worked with all the disciplines of engineering. The work was fun, interesting and practical. I have been inspired to take a year out and apply for the Arup “Year in Industry” programme. I cannot express how grateful I am to be part of the Achievement Award.”

Tata Consultancy Services

WOHAA winner 2008: “The work experience programme at TCS was organized extremely well. I think I really gained a good understanding of the working of a consulting company”.

WOHAA winner 2008: “I thought the TCS UK Presentation was great, the Mentor Chats were very useful and the Morning Ice Breaker session was such fun”.

Saatchi & Saatchi

WOHAA winner: “When I was told that I had been offered a placement at Saatchi & Saatchi, I was thrilled. The people were very friendly, and surprisingly involved me in a lot of their work. From helping at the brainstorming session on an advert, to arranging the costume for a TV advert. I thoroughly enjoyed my week at Saatchi and it has certainly made me think about a possible career in marketing.”

Edelman

Edelman on WOHAA winner: “We loved having the WOHAA winner come and do work experience with us, she was great. Can she come in for another week?”

The Sunday Times

WOHAA winner on work experience at the Sunday Times: “I went having no idea of what it would be like, but it was brilliant! It was really fun overhearing conversations about current affairs, which would be printed the next week in the paper. I helped the photography team, and since I love photography, this was a brilliant experience for me. I will never forget my experience at the Sunday Times.”

Charles Tyrwhitt

WOHAA winner on CT work experience: “During my work I worked in the buying and merchandising department. Unlike some of my other work placements, this placement involved a lot more practical work – which was very good. The placement was such a good experience for me, and I had an amazing time there.”
